Delicious Beef Jerky was established October of 2006 by Ted and Yvonne Baca along with their two children Zabrina and Gabrielle. It is run by the family in the Village of Los Ranchos. Delicious Beef Jerky is USDA inspected daily. Voted in the top 5 in Albuquerque Magazine's Best of the City in 2015 and ranked in 2016, DBJ has some of the most loyal customers who we are very happy to see and sell to. We have a vast array of flavors from the plain to threatening.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1) Do you make turkey, deer, bear, etc. jerky?

No, we do not make any type of jerky other than beef.

2)What does it mean to be "USDA inspected daily?

We are inspected daily by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). With USDA inspection we are able to make and distribute our jerky. With this we are able to sell our products in store and we are able to ship out products to our loyal customers who do not live in New Mexico.

3) What do the numbers on this bag mean?

Those numbers are our "Use By" date. All of our jerky stays fresh (meaning it will still taste amazing) for up to a year after the processing date. If your bag says (0120189, like in the example on the right) that means that your jerky will stay fresh by January 20, 2018. That number 09 is the batch code that helps us and our inspectors understand which flavor we have bagged and on which days we bagged them.

4)I'm in the area, where else can I find your jerky?

You can find Delicious Beef Jerky in a lot of different stores in and around Albuquerque. We have 3 different distributors that distribute our jerky and sadly, don't tell us which stores we are in. We deliver to both Warriors in Bernalillo, and the Kelly Liquor in Bernalillo, Belen, and las Cruces. We are also very proud to be found in many other local businesses around Albuquerque.

5)Why don't you guys make Regular/Natural/Original etc, flavored jerky?

While we don't have any flavors under those names, we do have your typical Salt and Salt&Pepper jerky! We also have Plain jerky which is meat dehydrated with no seasoning!

6)What's the deal with the allergen warning? Is it anything I should be worried about?

Our allergen warning is to let people know that those products (the teriyaki and the NM Ranchers) do contain some ingredients that may make some people sick. But there's no need to worry about any of our other products getting contaminated with the allergen from the other flavors because we clean and sanitize all of our food safe surfaces. It is of the utmost importance that we keep all of our customers safe!
